Stampin' For The Weekend Blog Challenge #1......

Stampin' For The Weekend blog challenge number 1, the first challenge of 2014 and the theme is Happy Birthday. We have a sponsor for this challenge, Live and Love Crafts but
I have used the freebie image below by The Paper Nest Dolls. (This link will take you through to the image on their website).

I thought I would colour the animals in as though they are stuffed toys so I could choose alternative colours for them (I prefer, as many people know, to colour my cards to the nearest colour match I can to real life). It was logical to me, that being a stuffed toy image that I would use it for a younger child's birthday hence the number 1 in the topper (right hand top corner). Obviously also, for a younger child, the brighter the colours used, the better so I used a lovely spring green & bright yellow cards from my own stash. I used Promarkers & Graph It pens with touches of Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pen in a "clear star" colour. All card stock used was purchased from Papermill Direct website

Making the easel card was the next step with gold glitter peel off letters spelling out Happy Birthday on the width way stopper, finishing off with Stickles glitter glue in mint green to form 3 drops to the left side & a stitching effect around the number one topper.

You can find our challenge blog here: Stampin' For The Weekend blog and good luck with your entry (should you decide to enter...go on!! You might just win) ;0

Crafting Musketeers Blog Challenge #9.....

Hiya Peeps

I hope everyone is well & looking forward to spring now rather than the horrible cold weather that we had over the weekend??

For this month's DT card I found it quite hard as Ive never been a fan of "grunge" etc but after thinking about what I could create, looking through Visible Image's website, their DT cards etc I though "well, hell yes, I could create one of those".
I quite like the result, what do you think?
The only stamps I used are from the sponsor's of this month's bog challenge, Visible Image Stamps which you can find here:    http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/
The flowers are from www.ribbongirl.co.uk and are called "Dahlia Stormy Skies", the colours are perfect for any grunge/steam punk project.

The stamp set I used for this consisted of 7 clear stamps & is available from the Visible Image's website. The stamp set is called "Immortal Love" and my result is the photos below

A Wedding Day card

Good Crafty Morning peeps...

Well how was your Christmas & New Year? Mine was lovely apart from being ill again!! Somehow I wasn't able to stay awake almost every day. Im pretty sure that Christmas Day was the better day with me being able to not fall asleep until my eldest daughter, Steph, & her family (Martin, sons Jamie & Ben) were thinking of going home after Tia & I had cooked the best Christmas lunch for some years. The turkey crown was beautifully moist, tender and very tasty & all I did was cover the skin in margarine & added some salt, pepper & mixed herbs. Oh how I will be going back to Aldi next year for my turkey.... it was so gorgeous & melted in your mouth.
Im still not 100% still (nothing to do with my disabilities) so I am phoning the doctors again today.. ;(
Anyway, back to the card below. I made this for one of my nieces, my only brother's eldest daughter, Samantha, who was marrying her fiancé of some years, Andrew. I, unfortunately was unable to attend due to personal problems with my health.
Both the White linen effect card & Christmas Red card was brought from https://papermilldirect.co.uk where there are some fabulous offers on at this moment. The Mr & Mrs ribbon was brought from a Facebook supplier of mine along with the charms from another Facebook company.

I wish to enter this clean & simple Wedding Day card to the following challenges:
