Sketch & Colour Dare for Die-Namites Cutting Dies

Hiya peeps,

An early afternoon post from me as Im having a break today from crafting cards, I might, though,
do some die cutting later for the wedding invites that Ive been working on (for ever it seems) lol.

Today I would like to show you a card that I have made especially for a challenge but I had to order a special die that I needed from a company who's dies I hadnt used before.  Die-Namites dies are made in America and are a high quality steel die that are useable in almost every die cutting machine.  The die I brought is their Daisy Bunch (DN-1012) and its such a lovely cut....

Heres the card I made following the challenge blog for Die-Namites dies, which, for this month,
is a Sketch Challenge and Dare.  The dare is to use the colours as shown in this pic:

Here is the finished result following the sketch almost identically. I used the Daisy Bunch die to cut the bunch 3 times using different coloured scrap pieces of card (within the designated colours that are in the dare. The hot pink piece was already embossed (by myself) using a "Happy Birthday" embossing folder. I then pieced the pieces of daisies together in to the desired effect. The sentiment was made using a ticket die from Whimsy Stamps cutting it in the desired colour of card, cutting 2 butterflies using a patterned card in a variety of pastel colours, some of which are in the "colour dare" of this challenge.  I hope you like the finished result, its lovely in real life, such a fresh look to it which is what I hoped it would do ;0 xx

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

A double DT make!!!

Hiya peeps,

Im so sorry for the delay in my posting this, Ive got a lot of different health issues going on at the moment and Ive not been feeling too well for a couple of days.
I dont really want to tell you about it on here but, hopefully, all will be revealed next month.

Back to this post., its all about 2 of the 3 DT's that Im very proud to design & create for.,
Crafting Musketeers and Crafty Ribbons. Luckily for me this month, both challenge blogs have
managed to land on the same "live" posting date, being the 16th April.  Also, both themes suited
the make I had in mind for both challenges too!!!!

The theme for Crafting Musketeers is "It's A Man's World" and for Crafty Ribbons the theme is "Anything But Square, NO straight lines". The image was made using a rubber stamp from Crafters Companion and coloured with Graph It alcohol marker pens and thin areas coloured with fineliner pens from WH Smiths (more or less equivalent to Stabilo fineliners just a bit cheaper and a few different colours which is why I have both makes in my craft stash).
The ribbons I have used are Grosgrain Swiss Dots in Electric Blue & White on the top part of the card and then on the base, which is also the stopper when the full card is open, I used
Sentiment Birthday Ribbon in Island Blue.

Please check out both challenges and please leave the rest of the DT some love

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

Di's Digi challenges, theme is: Include an ANIMAL

Back to my creation for this challenge, the image we were all given was the fabulously cute

Easter pressies for my family.....

Hiya peeps and a very Happy Easter!!!  WARNING- PHOTO HEAVY!!

I thought a quick blog to show you the Easter gift bags that I decorated for my 2 grandsons, both daughters and my son-in-law. I find it very hard not to buy sweetie pressies for my eldest & her husband as I know which sweets/chocolates are their favourites..  I decided not to buy Easter Eggs for them as they have enough from the rest of the family (mainy their dads side).
Tia, Jamie & Ben have had a largish gift bag half filled with assorted mini eggs, jelly shaped sweets, multipack bars of chocolates all adding up to what I would have spent on an Easter Egg.
For Steph & Martin I brought them both their favourite share bags of chocolates and a Terrys chocolate orange. All but Tias bag were sealed up with sellotape as Martin collected them one evening after work as they are too busy to call round this weekend, (Im hoping to see them during the week though).
Anyway, back to the gift bags & tags....

Recipe:

DoCrafts Dandelion & Daisy double cd rom to print off backing papers and pre coloured images of "Candyfloss" who is the resident female rabbit from the cd rom.
The striped card is called "Sugar & Stripe Blue Stripes" from The Hobby House
The kraft & white coloured paper bags are made by Papermania (sold at a good variety of online & shops).
The tags were made using 4 cuts using a Sugar Nellie large oval die
The tags are just images printed from the cd rom and die cut using the same oval die,
Eyelets (from my newest tool which is the Crop-A-Dile Big Bite from We R Memory Keepers) and using the free large eyelets that came with it.
Scalloped square die set from Tonic
Square die set from Tonic
Small heart cut out 4 flag bunting die from Memory Box
Ribbon (for tags ties), all flowers, flat backed pearls and faux gems are from my own stash

Ive had a text compliment from the boys and Steph to say "thank you so much for the lovely goodies in the fabulous bags". So I hope you like them as much......
