One For The Boys by Kenny K

Hiya peeps,

A very quick post to show you this quick card that I made
using an image that I had coloured & put to one side for making up later....
and consequently forgotten about!! lol.

I used Cool Boarder by Kenny K stamps and matt & layered it on a
die cut scalloped square in a royal blue card from Papermill Direct and
then under that is a Spellbinders Label One die cut in blue gingham.
These were mounted onto a 6x6 inch scalloped square card
already scored from Craftwork Cards.
The Happy Birthday is a silver coloured peel off and
I added 2 lots of 3 blue coloured faux gems.

I hope you like this card as I will be entering into
some blog & Facebook challenges:

Monkeying around on a tree branch during April 2016

Hiya peeps

Today I have brought to show you an animal card which I made for
my brothers birthday just a few days ago. I didnt want to show it off
any earlier though as I wasnt sure that he had received it on
time & his children would see this on Facebook.

Anyway, the image is called

I had found the backing papers a few days before making the card & I knew exactly what sort of card would do them. The digi itself is from the Progressive Challenge of Gerda's and lasts for one month. As I will enter the challenge
using this card, I will receive the digi image for next months challenge
free of charge. If you dont enter the challenge the month before, you can
buy the digi from the website. (This applies to the majority of any of the progressive challenges that you may wish to enter). I coloured the monkey and leaves in using my alcoholic marker pens.

The ovals that I have used as backing to the monkey are cut from Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals, the leaves are also cut from Spellbinders dies, but I cant remember the name of them. The tree & branch that the monkey is holding on to has been cut out of an A4 sheet of bark embossed in a wood colour. It came as part of a kit that I bought some years ago. The orange monkey shaped button comes from Crafty Buttons and is part of quantity (by weight), of colour themed assorted animal shaped buttons, mixed sizes types and texture buttons. There are various different sorts of shapes available and this link HERE takes you
through to the whole different shapes available in the Novelty section.

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

DT card for Crafty Ribbons April 2016

Hiya peeps and firstly, again, an apology.

Blogger has played up and not posted my card live even though it was scheduled to do so. This card is a week late because of Blogger and the challenge has now ended too!!

Ive not had chance to check on my blog for the last 2 weeks due to loads of appointments making & attending hospital & doctor appointments. Still, at this late time here is my make.
The digi image is from Karleigh Sue Designs and is called Some Sweet Bunny
I love using shades of blues in spring as its so fresh. I added a few butterfly stickers, some ribbon bows (all ribbon used is from Crafty Ribbons) and a lovely sentiment die cut using the Desire Classiques Only Words Collection and this one says "With Love From Me To You"

Im not going to bore you with any other details  but I will apologise again for the lateness of my post

Thank you for visiting my blog and this post. I hope you will scroll down and view my previous "posts" to see other cards that I have made. If not you can visit my Facebook page of Cards By Marg where more cards have been saved in my photo albums.

DT card for Not Just Cards April 2016 Challenge #31

Hiya peeps,

Time for the  for the Not Just Cards Challenge Blog for April..... and is sponsored by the lovely Karleigh Sue Digi's.

We, as a Design Team, were given 2 different digi images to choose from to work with and I decided to use Some Sweet Bunny and, I might add, I think Ive done a fabulous job!!! Very glam infact with all the gems round the image!!! lol ;)

Coloured with alcoholic marker pens, topped onto 225gsm smooth plain card from papermill direct, matted behind using a beautiful bright blue mirri card and the patterned paper from the Papermania Parisienne Blue collection (and another sheet of the 6x6 inch paper was used for the bottom section of this easel card). All die cuts were made using either the Spellbinders Grand Circles, Grand Scalloped Circles or Grand Decorative Circles Die Sets.
The sentiment, With Love From Me to You is cut from the Desire Classiques Only Words Die and the approx size of this is 2.5 x 3 inch. Everything else used on this card are from my own stash (as I cant remember where/when I bought them/it).

I hope you like this card as much as I do and will join in with us for our challenge starting this morning.

DT card for Quirky Crafts Challenge blog April 2016

Hiya peeps,

This is the second of three blogs from me today, Sunday 10th April.
This post is all about Quirky Crafts Challenge  for April & also to let you
know that we still have the DT call open so please follow the instructions on the main blog page through the link above to read them.

Our sponsors for this month are the fabulous Crackerbox Palace and we had the choice of any image we wanted from their store for rubber stamps, but in return they sent us digital images of the chosen image.  As the theme for this months challenge is up to me, I chose the wonderful & quite versatile theme of
Its Raining Cats and Dogs and its up to you whether you use both cats and dogs or either one..

All card stock used on the making of this card comes from Papermill Direct in the Lake District of England. I made no attempt to colour the image of both the cat & dog as I felt it would be worse off.  I decided on an oval easel card this time & I feel as though it compliments the image itself.
I used my Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals Die Set to cut the papermill direct cardstock in the white & orange.  All patterned cardstock & ribbon are from my own stash.

I dont think I could say anything else about this card.....

I would like to enter the following challenges:

DT card for Crafting Musketeers April 2016

Hiya peeps

Firstly my sincere apologies for being M.I.A. for the past week or so...
Life has been so busy and only gets busier for me this month with 5 different hospital appointments... please think about me!! ;(
(I do have today free so hence the catch up on 3 blog challenges!!!)

Well, its challenge time over at Crafting Musketeers blog and  Challenge #36 theme is Spring Is In The Air. Sponsored by Crafty Sentiments and we, the design team were given a few lovely digi images to choose from. I chose to use
Lily with Flowers

The backing paper (flowers with grass), the orange ribbon, and 2 matt & layer & sentiment and faux pearl drops are all from my own stash. All card, coloured & white are from Papermill Direct, all matt & layering behind the image are die cut using Nestabilities Card Creator A2 Curved Matting Basics B  & I coloured Lily using alcoholic marker pens. The laser cut word "Memories" is a new addition to my stash (along with a small collection of other nouns) are from a recent purchase but I cant remember where from at the moment).  The card measures 8.25inch x 7.5inch so is a lovely size.
